We will miss her driving by the house and yelling if we were out front, "How are ya doin', Darlin's!" as she buzzed by Or, if she stopped, the great smile and fun banter. The community has lost a precious jewel.

One of the brightest lights in our community has been extinguished. The light may be gone, but the memories linger. Thank you for touching our lives.

I can still hear Vi's greeting " Hi Darlin, how's my babies? The love she shared with all of us is eternal, Vi Jones will always live in the hearts of those who's lives she touched.

Vi always had a smile and kind words to say. She loved people and animals. Once she spent a night on my front porch because my Great Dane had had major surgery and was only allowed to walk for nature calls: this is dedication!
Vi, we loved you and are missing you.

When I was stoning my chimney last Fall & Winter, Vi would toot her school bus horn & wave as she carried her 'kids' to and from school; and I would look forward to her beeps and waves everytime she passed.

Vi shuttled to school generations of kids in our community and she loved every one of them. She will be dearly missed.

Jennifer told Colin about Miss Vi this morning, and when I saw him this evening I asked how he was feeling about it, and he said: "I'm feeling heartbroken." That sums it up for a lot of folks, I think.

I'm grateful my son got to be one of the kids blessed to know her and I was blessed to know her, too.

Remembering back to how that first morning’s anxious good-bye
turned so comforting knowing he was riding with Miss Vi.
Vi hasn’t left us. She earned her reward, that extra special route.

I can't recall who said it at my weekly horseshoe gathering because the news of Miss Vi's passing was to say the least a bit jolting, but when Jim Still called to give the sad news, and the news rippled though the ranks, someone said "Heaven must have needed a bus driver!"

A foam display board has been put at the gazebo for posting pictures of pets, children and others who loved Vi Jones.
